Terms and Conditions of Use of Cinemapa

Welcome to Cinemapa. Before using the application, please read these Terms and Conditions of Use carefully. By downloading, installing or using the application, you accept this agreement. If you do not agree with these terms, do not use the application.

1. Acceptance of the Terms

Access to and use of Cinemapa are voluntary and free of charge. You use the application at your own risk.

2. Description of the Service

Cinemapa is an application for discovering where films and TV shows were shot. It shows filming locations on a map, with texts about the scenes, photos, information about each title, and links to trailers, soundtracks and sources.

• Locations and scene texts: they are compiled from public sources (specialised websites, encyclopaedias and articles), partly with automated tools. They may contain errors or be out of date: the exact location, the current state of the place or the details of the scene may not be correct. Each title's page links to the sources used.
• TMDB data: the application uses The Movie Database (TMDB) API to obtain metadata, images, cast and trailers. Cinemapa uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. As it is an external, collaborative database, Cinemapa does not guarantee the accuracy or timeliness of that data (synopses, release dates, cast, etc.).

3. Visiting the Locations

Cinemapa tells you where a scene was filmed, but it does not organise visits or guarantee that you can access any place.

• Many locations are private property, homes, businesses or places with restricted access. Their appearance in the app does not mean you may enter or visit them.
• Respect private property, the privacy of the people who live or work there, each place's opening hours and rules, and local laws.
• Your safety is your responsibility: pay attention to traffic and your surroundings, and do not use your phone while driving.

4. Intellectual Property

• The application: the design, source code, own logos and structure of Cinemapa are the property of Josep Molina Merino. They may not be reproduced or distributed without prior authorisation.
• TMDB posters and images: the posters, images and trademarks of films and TV shows belong to the corresponding studios and rights holders. They are shown for information purposes, through the TMDB API.
• Scene photos: they belong to their rights holders and are shown for information purposes and, when known, with their credit. If you hold the rights to an image and want it removed, write to [email protected].

5. Licence of Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive and revocable licence to use the application for personal, non-commercial purposes on compatible devices. You may not:

• Reverse engineer the application or attempt to extract its source code.
• Use the application for illegal or unauthorised purposes.
• Extract data from the application in bulk or by automated means to feed other databases or services.

6. Disclaimer of Liability

Cinemapa is provided "as is" and "as available". Josep Molina Merino is not responsible for:

• Errors or omissions in the locations, texts, images or TMDB data.
• What happens during your visits to the locations, including access to private or restricted places.
• Technical damage to your device arising from the use of the app.
• Service interruptions due to external causes or maintenance.

7. Privacy and Personal Data

Cinemapa does not require registration and does not collect your name or email address. To send you the notifications you accept, measure usage and fix errors, it uses third-party services (Firebase and Supabase), as explained in the Privacy Policy.

8. Third-Party Links and Services

The application shows no ads. It includes third-party content and links, such as maps and directions from Google Maps, YouTube trailers, soundtracks on Spotify and the source websites. Cinemapa does not control their content or their privacy policies.

9. Changes

We may change these terms at any time. We will publish the changes on this page with a new date. If you keep using the application after they are published, you accept the new terms.
